We are Alvar (disheveled hair dude, left) and Marcelo (gaunt Italian bloke, right), two forever DMs and former TTRPG freelancers hailing from the land of Buenos Aires, Argentina, birthplace of such celebrities as [insert football superstar] and Pope Francis, now partners-in-crime in Delaware, in the illustrious US of A.

An Idea is Born
It was a bitingly cold day when, in a cozy café surrounded by flat whites and tiny pastries, we decided to turn our growing collection of homebrew rules into something more.
A First Release

After two months of hard work, we finally released our first book: The Ichorous Peninsula! This day marks the start of a long journey none of us could've imagined.

The End of the Core XII

The City of Strings
Putting an end to a year-long tradition of monthly releases, The City of Strings becomes the last book of the Core XII, giving way to a year of multiple Entries a month.
A New Face

Lin arrived, and with them, a whole rebrand of the Codex of Strings. From logo and typography to website and products, nothing was left unchecked.

Right when we believed the workload was becoming too big for us three, Mati arrived. Exalted Wilds fastly became our most visually appealing book, thanks to the work of over 10 artists around the globe and our own Art Director!

No one in the Codex knows how to do math, so we absolutely needed someone who could work an Excel sheet! Thankfully, Marcelo joined us, and saved us from the absolute void that is working with ads.

Currently, we're working on our first-ever Kickstarter Campaign! Hoping to bring the community the best epic-tier content you can get your hands on!
Our Tools
Our creations are painted on a very special canvas: the Homebrewery, an amazing tool developed by the good folk at NaturalCrit. It is, almost inexplicably, 100% free. If you want to help them keep the lights on, you can do so here.
Formerly, we used latent diffusion software to create the illustrations within our books, but that has become a thing of the past. We no longer use AI in our production process, and we never will again: we now have the budget to make our products true beacons of human expression.
We already have multiple books that are 100% AI-free: Theseus' Tome of Legendary Foes, Allfather's Ink, The City of Mirrors, Alesthesian's Guide to the Exalted Wilds, Dangers of the Astral Sea, and Lilith's Enchiridion to the Penumbral Hells.
